You might be wondering how it is possible. Well, for your information, Mount Everest is on the Nepal-Tibet border. That is why there are two base camps: one in the north and one in the south. The south base camp is in Nepal and is the most famous one. However, the north base camp is located on the Tibet side. Unlike the south EBC, you can travel to the north EBC via jeep. The roads are well-made, and the drive is quite scenic.

Start the day bright and early with a delicious breakfast. After breakfast, meet your guide at the hotel lobby for a quick tour briefing. We will provide a private vehicle with a driver for a smooth tour. Visit the famous Monkey Temple, situated on top of the hill.
This is another tour day in Kathmandu. Today, you will visit Pashupatinath Temple, one of the significant pilgrimage sites for Hindus in Nepal. Likewise, you will visit the Boudhanath Stupa, the largest stupa in Nepal and the center of Tibetan Buddhism in the country.
It is a full free day in the city for you. We have not planned anything on this day. You can spend as you wish. Explore local markets, try Nepali food, and do window shopping. You can also go to a spa, get a massage, etc. Likewise, you can join a yoga session, cooking class, or pottery class. The options are limitless. Note that you have to pay fees for the activities.
On this day, you will fly to Lhasa. The flight will take around 1 hour and 15 minutes. You will see breathtaking aerial views of the Himalayan mountains during the flight. Upon landing in Lhasa, our Tibetan representatives will welcome you.
Today is your first day of sightseeing in Lhasa. You will visit the Potala Palace, one of the finest architectural marvels in Tibet. The intricate designs and art in rooms, halls, chapels, and antique furnishings will leave you in awe.
After exploring the palace, you will drive to Sera Monastery. It is one of the three main monasteries in Tibet. You can see monks engaging in lively debates here, along with unique traditions that have been passed down for centuries.
You will spend one more day exploring a few other tourist sites in Lhasa. Start the morning with a delicious Tibetan breakfast, and then get ready for the full day of the tour. You will first visit Drepung Monastery.
We will leave Lhasa early in the morning today. It is around a 6 to 7 hours drive from Lhasa to Gyantse. The highway is very scenic. On the way, you will enjoy arid Tibetan landscapes, mountain views, and small towns.
We have a long day ahead of us. We will leave Gyantse early in the morning and visit Tashilhunpo monastery. It is the home of the Panchen Lama. Likewise, you will also visit the Kumbum monastery.
Drive from Shigatse to Xegar, crossing the Gyatchula Pass (5,200 m). The ride then continues to Rongbuk, the closest settlement from the other base camp of Mt. Everest. The road is zigzag, and you will visit the Sakya Monastery on the way.
Today, you will drive back to Kerung. Start driving from Rongbuk early in the morning and enjoy a scenic ride back to Kerung. The highway offers beautiful views of hills, mountains, and lakes. Kerung is a border town on the Tibet side.
Complete the border formalities and meet our Nepali team waiting to pick you up on the other side of the border. Enjoy a comfortable ride back to Kathmandu. Our team will drop you off at your hotel. The remaining day is free.
